The Rocketeers & O-Zone Invades Memphis

Ok, so I’m super late with this one….but better late than never right? So any way our homie D-Win hit me up a few weeks ago letting me know how their show in Memphis that they did at O-Zone. I wish I could have made it. As always they rocked the crowd and packed the house. If you haven’t heard of them make sure you google them and get to know. First off I’d hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend, I know I sure did. BBQ’s, cold drinks, family and friends, it can’t get any better than that. Well I’d like to present you guys with a nice little gift, a “double feature” if that’s what you would call it. Winding down the weekend, two of our good friends Badio, and D-Win (from The Rocketeers) contacted us about their most recent project releases and asked us if we could inform our viewers (you). With out hesitation, or even listening to the tracks I immediately said yes. Badio sent us a copy of a new mixtape that he had been featured on titled “HollaFame“. “HollaFame is a music group I am affiliated with that is based out of my hometown Woodbridge, Va. It consist of Jay FreshKicks(Producer + rapper) Nike Nando(rapper) HunitGrand (Rapper) and myself. YAY! ” Badio explained. I took a listen and was hooked right away with the “HollaFame” team. D-Win also sent us “Feeling Good” a leak off of their (The Rocketeers’s) new album called “The Matinee”. Just click on the titled links to download them both for free.

Nothing makes us more happier than to be able to promote our friends and helping them as much as we can to reach their dreams. If you’ve been following us for awhile you already know that we promote others more than ourselves, which is cool with us, that’s what we’re all about. So it gives me great honor to be able to re-introduce you to our good friend C.S Rucker. After his release of “The Hungry Kid” C.S has been swamped with colab projects, on in particularly with a major group from the UK called “WAT”, in which C.S was featured on their newly released album. This pass Monday I received a text from C.S asking if we would like to be apart of his new EP drop and if we would like to sponsor it. Immediately I said yes, without any questions ask, I didn’t even have to listen to the EP, I already knew it was going to be dope. Needless to say he sent us a leak which exceeded all my expectations and more. I was able to talk to C.S about his new EP and he described to me in detail what it was all about.
“Desert Anyone is the sequel to “The Hungry Kid” mixtape. After “Desert Anyone” I’m switching the stelo up a little bit adventuring to other rooms.This EP is for the demention hiphop at the same time giving respects to the old school. I didn’t try to do any commercial tracks(besides “Key City Reppa” but the lyrics are strong enough to be a hiphop bangger). I want people to really dip into my mind, listen to what I’m saying, like in “SurfsUp” and “Deserts” they are deep tracks. A lot of people try to be deep and just don’t make sense, just scratching the surface or talking about the same stuff they were kicking in the 90s. I’m not trying to say I’m super hiphop I’m just doing what I love, you dig it, cool, and if you don’t cool. I know you’ll enjoy it. I even got a track for the lovers kissing after dark, that was fun to do. I’m telling you I’ll smash any track. I recorded it at Valleyofthe Kings(BIllysyn and JayT on the boards). DjNemeses from the Faded Djs crew killed the EP with the scratches, drops and all that. He really added to the emotion of “Desert Anyone”. Ant did an amazing job on the cover, dudes out of hand.”
We will be exclusively dropping one track from the EP either once a week or depending on how we feel twice a week along with an exclusive description of the track from C.S Rucker himself telling his feelings about the track and the process he took to create it. So make sure you stay tuned and check out the EP, I’ve had it on loop in my iPod all day. Also be on the look out for more projects from C.S Rucker, and as always you know we’ll keep you posted.
